The deep soulful baritone vocals of Dalvin are exquisite and compelling.
Dalvin is credited with bringing Go Go into the Queen City after arriving in Charlotte from D.C. several years ago,

Go-go is a popular music subgenre associated with funk that originated in the Washington, D.C. area during the mid-1960s to late-'70s. It remains primarily popular in the area as a uniquely regional music style that has traversed into the Carolinas.  A great number of bands contributed to the early evolution of the genre, but the Young Senators, Black Heat and singer-guitarist Chuck Brown and the Soul Searchers are credited with having developed most of the hallmarks of the style,

Inspired by artists such as the groups mentioned above, go-go is a blend of funk, Rhythm and Blues, and blues.  Familiar songs from all genres receive a new life with a "funkified" treatment.

Dalvin has performed on our stage at various times and is always requested back.  No question in our minds why.  Come Come to the Go Go and get your groove on.
