ANGELIQUE-Vocalist Angelique Burris is a sultry singer noted for her smooth delivery of jazz, gospel and R & B tunes. She started singing in the church choir. Her parents enrolled her in piano lessons that furthered her love for music. The advanced choir and music classes at West Charlotte High School developed her desire to major in Music Education at North Carolina Central University. She toured with NCCU's Touring Choir that appeared at Carnegie Hall and The Kennedy Center. She was a favorite soloist with NCCU's Jazz Band, while obtaining a music education degree. Angelique has sung with a rock band, a professional gospel group, studios and a host of churches. After building a beautiful family, teaching and counseling in the public school system, she is returning to her first love of music and performing with her own band called Musical Explosions with Angelique.
EDDIE B. BYRDSONG - Piano Eddie has been playing for more than 40 years. A native of Detroit, he has deep jazz and gospel roots. Eddie has toured across the country and internationally playing jazz and blues. Eddie has been playing and singing in the Charlotte area for the past 25 years with groups such as Opera Carolina, The Charlotte Contemporary Ensemble, and Carolina Voices where he performed on The Singing Christmas Tree. Eddie holds a B.S in Music Ed from North Carolina Central University and a Masters in music from University of Michigan.
WILL LEE Saxaphone Will was first introduced to the music industry by his famous uncle, the legendary Pervis Lee, with whom he had the opportunity to tour alongside during his career. Lee also toured with others including the popular entertainment band, Liquid Pleasure. Will created "Listen Up" a musical therapy program for nursing home patients in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg area. His music continues to entertain and console those who are incapacitated, wheelchair bound, and living in a nursing facility. His non-profit project has received support from many influential people including his board of directors which consists of a N.C. House Representative, a CMPD employee, a Mecklenburg Park and Rec representative, a McDonald’s franchise owner, as well as a Lake Norman county official. Will is a married father of five with two new grandsons.
DAVID J. SINGLETERY – Drums Accomplished drummer within the Gospel styles and genres for over 25 years, David has a true passion for multiple methods of music from Jazz, R&B, Blues, Dance Hall and more. Playing for many churches, weddings, parties and plays locally as well as in other cities and states has created a tremendous amount of enthusiasm and devotion for music; which is one of the keys that make him a successful band member. He truly believes in the quote from the movie Drumline "One Band One Sound". His appreciation for all instrumentation gathering together in synergy is truly a joy to his soul. This Charlotte native loves "creating the groove in order to invite others to move" to the music brought by any band he accompanies.
