Ten years ago, the Gulf Coast was bracing for Hurricane Katrina. The storm had already made landfall twice, and was gaining strength in the gulf. Weather models predicted New Orleans would take a hit by Saturday, August 29, 2005.
Many chose to wait out the storm, while others decided they were not going to chance it.
